Canaca’s Blend 19 is a budget pre-roll that combines various cannabis strains and is carefully rolled into three half-gram joints, offering a hassle-free and convenient way to indulge in high-quality cannabis.
Despite being priced in the budget range, we are intrigued to find out whether it lives up to its value. Let’s see how it compares to Dykstra’s Blue Widow Pre-Roll or Hiway’s The Flav and other pre-rolls on the market.

Smell
Upon opening the container, we noticed a subtle herbal fragrance emanating from Canaca’s Blend 19 pre-roll. However, the aroma was not particularly strong, and it remained consistent during the smoking experience. This lack of pronounced fragrance may be attributed to the fact these were packaged approximately six months ago. As a result, some of the aromatic compounds may have dissipated over time, leading to a less potent scent.
Appearance
Canaca’s Blend 19 came in a simple, white plastic doob tube container that provided basic information such as the brand name, product name, weight, and cannabinoid percentages. However, there was no information available about the specific strains or dominant terpenes contained in the blend, which may be disappointing to those who prefer knowing the details of what they are smoking.
The pre-rolls themselves appeared somewhat lackluster, with the flower appearing noticeably dry and crumbly, some of it even falling out of the ends. This may indicate that the cannabis was not stored properly, which can cause the flower to dry out and lose potency. Upon inspecting the bottom of the container, we were surprised to find a significant amount of leaf and shake, which had fallen out during transport. While this may be common with pre-rolls, the amount of shake present in the container was unexpected and may be a cause for concern for some consumers. While the packaging was adequate, the appearance of the pre-rolls themselves left something to be desired.
Flavour
We lit up the pre-roll and took our first puff, hoping to experience a unique and robust flavour profile. Unfortunately we were disappointed to find that the taste was rather muted, and we struggled to discern any notable characteristics. While there were hints of sweet herbs present, this flavour profile was relatively common and did not stand out from other strains on the market. Additionally, we found the taste did not evolve or develop throughout the smoking experience, remaining consistent from start to finish. If you’re seeking a rich and complex flavour profile, Canaca’s Blend 19 may not be the ideal choice. While not unpleasant, it was rather subdued and may not provide the level of nuance and depth that some cannabis enthusiasts crave.
Experience
Our container was part of lot number 3101726184, packaged on September 19, 2022 with an 18.2% THC content and a price of $6.95 for three half-gram pre-rolled joints, we believe this product can offer value to users on a tight budget. After smoking, we experienced a moderately strong high that left us feeling relaxed, happy, and slightly sedated. While not an overpowering experience, we found it to be enjoyable and suitable for unwinding after a long day. In terms of potency, while not as strong as other, more expensive options on the market, it did provide a satisfying experience that is well-suited for those seeking a budget-friendly cannabis option.
Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the experience as our expectations were quite low. While they may not be the most robust or complex option available, these pre-rolls offered a solid high at a very reasonable price point, making them a good choice for first time smokers, anyone on a budget or seeking a more mild cannabis experience.

If you can try the Canaca 30 PR’s, I’d be interested to see if they too feel milder than the reported percentage. That’s been my experience (even with the listed percentage being 33.8%). Then again, I had it after coming down from mushrooms, so it was probably part of it too..

Going to add the PR30’s to our list to review.
