Last week we reviewed Good Supply’s Sour Kush strain and thought the flower was decent given it’s low price point.
Today we’re looking at Divvy’s version of this popular Hybrid which was created by crossing Sour Diesel with the popular OG Kush. On their website Divvy describes it as “super smelly” with a high terpene ratio which produces the distinct tart and ultra-pungent aroma. In terms of flavour profile, Sour Kush is known and loved for its sour tang with hints of earthy, woody, and diesel fuel.
So how does this product compare to previously mentioned version from Good Supply or DOJA’s Sour Kush?

Divvy’s Sour Kush strain arrived in a medium sized peachy cream coloured bag with resealable top. Opening the package and sticking our noses in revealed a somewhat weak earthy aroma followed by subtle notes of fresh floral. There could have been hints of citrus as well, but the earthy smell seemed to overpower everything else.
There was one nice medium sized bud in the group, however the overall trim job was not that appealing to be honest. The buds were compact with a few shades of dense green leaves and very bright orange hairs that look like carrot shavings yet the plant was very dry and shaky. The trichome layer was visible but it definitely was not a thick coating. We paid $19.95 for 3.5 grams and it looks like something that cost 20 bucks.
We were expecting the distinct tart flavour as the aroma and unique taste are really what makes this strain so popular. Unfortunately we noticed right from the start that the flavour while decent lacked that intense sour tang and really felt like an average taste; very similar to how we felt about the smell. Everything about this product screams average.
Divvy’s Sour Kush is an average middle of the road product. It has an amazing price point and definitely does the job, but perhaps a bit more mild then expected given it’s listed at 20% THC content. However it delivered a mild mental high with a moderate body buzz which was all around enjoyable and not strong enough to burn you out. Again, if the price were higher we might rank this lower, but if you’re looking a Sour Kush budget buy then you might want to check out Divvy’s strain.
