Craft Uppercut from Mood Ring is an indica-dominant strain that was created when Purple Punch was crossed with Sour Dubb.
It’s known for producing large, dense buds covered in a thick layer of trichomes and packed with a rich flavour compared to lemony herbal tea and an earthy aroma. Plus, Mood Ring uses nitrogen sealed cans to preserve quality, humidity and freshness.
We curious how this compares to Mood Ring’s Craft Golden Berry.

Smell
The genetics of this strain (Purple Punch x Sour Dubb) are both very present as aromas from both parents are clearly identifiable. We peeled back the tin seal and were greeted with a sweet berry scent with a hint of earthy citrus. The combinations of terpenes definitely has created a delightful smell that intrigued us about how it will taste.
Appearance
Coming in a pastel purple, tuna-style can with the Mood Ring logo, strain, potency and terpenes all placed in visible places on the outside of the packaging. Another neat thing we’ve noticed about this brand is that they change their logo colour with each strain… don’t think we’ve seen another LP do this yet. In terms of the buds, they were beautiful, soft and squishy between your fingertips (returning back to form after squeezing). These dark delicious looking nugs have been hand-trimmed to perfection and are just waiting to be rolled.
Flavour
Be prepared to restrain yourself from smoking too much as the moment after inhaling you’re hit with a wave of rich lemon and berry flavour (which was expected from the smell). However it didn’t stop there because the aftertaste on exhale was also earthy sweet and hung to our taste buds. Craft Uppercut was surprisingly a delicious bud.
Experience
Listed with 20.2% THC content and a price tag of $37.50 for 3.5 grams, we can see why this strain was named Uppercut… it’s a fast-working, couch-locking, heavy-hitting indica. Instantly, you can feel your body physically relax and slowly become like jello combined with a euphoric feeling taking over your mind. As we enjoyed being on cloud 9, we put on some chill music, ate some food, and enjoyed the very sedating comedown with a good nights sleep. Another solid entry from Mood Ring and worth checking out if you enjoy flavourful indica strains.
