Mule Fuel is an exclusive hybrid cultivar from Sugarbud that was created by crossing GMO with Lurch.
Users describe the aroma as being a blend of earthy and spicy notes with hints of florals, grass, citrus and fuel. This combination of smells and flavours is largely due to it’s primary terpenes including myrcene, limonene, pinene and caryophyllene. Sugarbud growers report the buds to be medium to large, very dense, dark greens and purples all wrapped up in a sticky trichome layer.
We’re intrigued to see how this compares to their other hybrid – Sugarbud’s Krypto Chronic #2.

Smell
The product arrived in a matte black, reusable glass jar, that should guarantee a mostly fresh flower. On the outside of the container they included the terpene and THC percentages along with package date. Our batch came in at 21% THC and 1.95% terpenes but if you find that you need more info you can head to their website, insert your lot number and find the complete batch breakdown which is amazing!
Upon opening the jar we were hit with super stinky and skunky aroma that featured gassy undertones. This was a similar strength as Sugarbud’s GMO Cookies but instead of the garlic this one feels as if you’re walking on a farm, grass just been cut, hay everywhere and the whiff from a horse stable is tunnelling straight to your nose.
Appearance
In terms of appearance, the buds are dark green with purple features coming with tightly curled orange pistils. They looked spongier then Sugarbud’s other flowers and were completely covered in trichomes that left our fingertips and hands feeling sticky. After grinding it becomes even darker, fluffy and crumbly, which would make it a great flower for rolling joints or blunts.
Flavour
There was a surprising sweet citrus aftertaste with a hint of gassy/diesel. You get sweet thick clouds out of the bong and despite the somewhat off-putting smell, the taste was actually pretty nice. If you’re smoking joints then prepare for a straight stinky diesel which isn’t necessarily a bad thing
Experience
Listed with 21.1% THC content and a price tag of $39.95 for 3.5 grams, we found Sugarbud’s Mule Fuel delivered the kind of full body relaxation that makes you just want to sit and chill. Depending on your tolerance levels this might be a good midday smoke if you can fight off the urge for a quickie nap. Mule Fuel gives you a donkey kick, backed with a jetpack that will have you soaring high enough you’ll never want to land. You can clearly tell every glass is packaged with love as they really enjoy and live by what they do. We would love to see some cartridges and possibly bigger quantities.
